Ski jumping facility in Trondheim with cranes and track machine during assembly in winter

Ski jumping technology for winter sports federations

For technical requirements from ski jumping or Nordic combined, we clarify the starting track, cooling, winches, and steel construction at the concrete hill site.

Clarify technique To the concrete jump

Ski jumping technique in the environment of winter sports associations

The FIS rules and the national ski associations determine the sporting requirements for ski jumping and Nordic combined. In new builds or modernization, these specifications can flow into planning and competition procedures.

We clarify with the persons responsible at the site which technique for the jump fits and how it is integrated. This concerns the approach track, cooling, winches, steel construction, and connections to the existing infrastructure.

Who awards the contract varies from project to project. It can be a municipality, a operator or another project sponsor. The athletic requirements remain decisive for the technical planning.

Rules, invitation to bid and technical implementation

  • Requirements for the takeoff ramp

For ski jumping and Nordic combined, the FIS sets the international rule framework. The DSV and Ski Austria supplement it with national rules. Within this framework we explain the technique in the approach.

  • Tender and Auftrag

The works are tendered by the municipality or operator. The federation contributes the sporting requirements. We coordinate the technology with all parties involved, regardless of who ultimately signs the contract.

  • Our technology

We plan and supply the ramping, cooling, winches and steel construction. On an existing facility we first determine which components remain and where new connections must be made. From this assessment, scope and offer emerge.

  • Inspection of the facility

The ramp is evaluated as a whole, by technical delegates and inspectors. Our technology must therefore exist in the overall view of the facility. The certificate then applies to the ramp at its location and not to a single system within it.

Let's talk about the ramp

Please tell us briefly which ramp and what is planned. We will get back to you and discuss everything further in person.
