Films by Peter Riedel

Seven films about winter sports, home, and projects. They lead to Kitzbühel, the Ore Mountains, Oberwiesenthal, and Tellerhäuser.

Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel is known for the Hahnenkamm race, but it also has a ski-jump center with four jumps. At the Schattberg, a stone's throw from the Streif, we equipped the largest one with a CLUBTRACK groove. 85 meters of run-up, very flat, leveled in the substructure.

My homeland

I travel to many countries. Returning to Tellerhäuser makes me aware again of how beautiful the Ore Mountains are: the Fichtelberg, the Sachsenbaude and Oberwiesenthal, the highest town in Germany. This film is my ode to my homeland.

My Oberwiesenthal

In the highest city in Germany, I spent my childhood and, at the age of three, took my first runs. The film shows places I associate with memories: Café König, Martin Luther Church, the Fichtelberg jumps.

Tellerhäuser Legend

On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of my homeland. A miner named Teller found no silver and, just before ruin, threw his hammer at a mouse. The hammer struck a silver vein. The origin story of Tellerhäuser is well documented, the legend hardly.

100 years Café König Oberwiesenthal

Café König, its patisserie and the guesthouse have existed for a hundred years, run in the fourth generation by Frank Weber. Through its connection to skiing, international sporting elite come and go there.

To Café König

The film for his sixtieth birthday. Alpine ski racer, carpenter, engineer, inventor, patent holder, author: Peter Riedel stood on skis at age three, began his carpentry apprenticeship in 1982, and in 2004 presented the first combined summer and winter track to the FIS.
