Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Peter Riedel is managing director of Peter Riedel GmbH in Raschau-Markersbach. Raised in Oberwiesenthal, he has for decades linked winter sports, high-rise construction and design with sports technology for ski jumping venues worldwide.

Peter Riedel's path into sports technology begins in the snow. In Oberwiesenthal he got up early on skis, competed in several European Cup races as an alpine racer, and later found his way to the technical side of sport through training as a carpenter, a civil engineering studies, and planning.
In 2003 a feasibility study for the Oberhof ski tunnel brought high-performance sport back into focus. A year later, Peter Riedel presented the combined summer and winter start-up track to the FIS Hill Construction Commission in Willingen. From this development, the basis for MASTERTRACK and for Peter Riedel GmbH's international work was created.
Besides his technical work, Peter Riedel writes about winter sports, projects and people from his circle. With his father Eberhard Riedel, he co-authored the book Spuren des Erfolgs (Traces of Success).
In addition, there are own films about Oberwiesenthal, Tellerhäuser and Kitzbühel. Since 2001, newspapers and trade magazines report on the ski-jump projects.
