Welding shop for load-bearing constructions in Raschau

In our production hall we weld load-bearing components made of steel and aluminum. Our in-house production control is certified to DIN EN 1090-1 by Kiwa GmbH. Within the certificate's scope we manufacture up to execution class EXC2 with performance declaration and CE marking.

Welding is done in-house

Stainless steel and aluminum from our own hall.

Our welders work in Raschau, on components for plants and builders in the region and on steel construction for ramp installations in Europe. Assembly is done on request by the same people who welded.

Laser cutting, edges, welding, and assembly are in the same production. If a measurement doesn’t fit during welding, we sort it out in the hall next door and not with a supplier.

Cracked frames, worn-out bearing supports and damaged components on machines and systems are welded up instead of being replaced.

Load-bearing components fall under DIN EN 1090. We meet it and prove it; otherwise we would not be allowed to build them.

What we weld

  • Load-bearing steel constructions with static proof
  • Substructures, platforms and stages
  • Stairs, railings and gate systems
  • Fixture and special machine construction
  • Pressure vessel and enclosure construction
  • Parts made of aluminum and stainless steel
  • Repair of welded parts on machines and systems
  • Assembly of the welded parts at the customer

Steel

We weld beams, frames, brackets, stair stringers and substructures from S235, S275 and S355. Work is carried out according to an approved welding specification, our welders are tested for this, and every seam is visually inspected.

Our certificate extends up to EXC2. It covers the typical steel construction: halls, stairs, stages and platforms.

Aluminium

We weld aluminium with TIG from the alloys of the 22 material group: mobile scaffolds, covers and cladding.

Since May 2022 aluminium is also included in the welding certificate, also up to EXC2. Previously applicable only to steel.

CE marking

Our manufacturing is certified by Kiwa GmbH, notified body No. 0770. Therefore load-bearing parts from our company carry the CE marking.

The parts are released with a declaration of performance and labeling.

Frequently asked questions about the welding operation

Are you a certified welding company?

Yes, since 2019. The certificate of the factory production control bears the number 0770-CPR-0105-01, the corresponding welding certificate has the number 0770-S-0105-02.

Which welding processes do you use?

Certified are metal active gas welding as process 135 and tungsten inert gas welding as process 141, both according to DIN EN ISO 4063. MAG handles steel construction, TIG handles aluminum parts and thin-walled sections.

Which materials are permissible for load-bearing welding?

The structural steels S235, S275 and S355 according to EN 10025-2 as well as aluminium alloys of the material group 22.

What does the execution class EXC2 mean?

Our certificate extends up to EXC2, and that is where most of what is built is covered. From EXC3 on, there is an exception: bridges, cranes, large industrial plants. Which class your component needs is stated in the planning or the tender.

How do DIN EN 1090 and ISO 3834 relate to each other?

ISO 3834 sets the requirements for welding technology in the operation, EN 1090-2 refers to it and assigns it to execution classes. Our proof is Kiwa's welding certificate according to DIN EN 1090-1, Table B.1.

Will I receive CE marking for my component?

Yes, if it is load-bearing and falls under EXC1 or EXC2. You receive the declaration of performance under Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 on construction products; the procedure runs according to System 2+.

Do you also perform repairs welding?

Yes. We repair welded components on machines and systems. For an assessment, we need photos of the defect and the specification of the material used.
