In the middle of Tellerhäuser in the Erzgebirge stands a winter sports monument of the somewhat different kind. A snowman not less than 3.3 meters tall from the metal construction and stainless steel forge of the Peter Riedel GmbH has, since today Thursday, decorated the townscape. Those who now think that the large giant is made of snow are wrong. Weighing 500 kilos with a diameter of 1.7 meters, it consists of three fine stainless steel spheres and directly at the access to the hiking and cross-country skiing area in Tellerhäuser/Fichtelberg, it shows athletes the way year-round.

So far, only two structures of this kind have been documented in Norway and Canada in the form of an elk, making this stainless steel construction in its size and appearance nearly unique worldwide. With this structure of the company division Peter Riedel GmbH demonstrates again their expertise as a stainless steel professional and furthermore emphasizes the Erzgebirge's winter sport affinity. The current snowfall comes just in time to erect the “snowman” in the middle of the pleasant month of May. Peter Riedel GmbH  metal construction
