Lately it has been very quiet here. Admittedly, there has been very little happening in the ski jumping field recently due to my knee operation. At my personal highlight - the Four Hills Tournament - I was condemned to watch from the sofa, and otherwise this year the focus was on me and my health.

But that doesn’t mean that my team and I have been sitting around twiddling our thumbs. In the meantime, we have been vigorously addressing the second major division of my company. Steel construction. In the last few weeks, in the “holy” halls of Peter Riedel GmbH, more than five tons of steel have been moved. After many steps, various platforms and work decks for people who must meet the highest requirements are now leaving our production.

Due to the occupational safety regulations, these platforms must withstand dynamic loads and be absolutely safe in terms of their statics, stability, and durability. And so the “rough” steel construction business also requires a lot of finesse and precision. Our customers must be able to rely on us 100%. That’s why we tinker and work on every project with passion and meticulousness. Nothing is left to chance, only in this way can our customers — as is the case this time — be fully satisfied.

I would also like to thank my employees who constantly go above and beyond and whom I can always rely on, even when I’m not there!

And I can report positive things about my knee too! It’s getting better, I’m already quite mobile and will soon be back serving my customers and the ski jumping sport!

All the best, Peter and Team
