The Peter Riedel GmbH introduces another innovation to the market of ramp constructions with a system for adjusting the take-off height.
In Sohland an der Spree, the challenge had long been that both the K14 and K28 ramps would jump differently depending on age, weight and summer or winter, making distances and flight paths hard to calculate. Solving this was, of course, no easy task for Peter Riedel GmbH.
The aim was to make the ramps playable for every age group and under a wide range of conditions. But Peter Riedel would not be a true expert in his field if he hadn't also had the right solution ready. After meticulous planning and construction, a height-adjustable jump table emerged as the solution to the problem. The last meters of the take-off area can be hydraulically adjusted in height by up to 10 centimeters. This allows the radius in the approach and, subsequently, the flight curve, which largely determines achieving impressive distances, to be individually tuned. Thus, for every age, weight, snow condition, and approach speed, optimal ski jumping conditions are guaranteed in summer and winter; the Nachwuchssport in Saxony will have perfect training conditions in the future. The height-adjustable jump table is the first of its kind; only a similar system had previously been installed by Peter Riedel GmbH in Tschagguns in Montafon on K 20.
The adjustment system will be tested for the first time under competition conditions on June 15 at the Sachsenpokal for ski jumpers and combined events. Another major advantage is that this system can be adapted and installed on other hills facing the same challenge.
