Ski jumping on the beach of Zinnowitz a great success

With great weather and a unique mood, the largest ski jumping event in the North took place on Saturday on the beach of Zinnowitz. 6,000 spectators attended the Oberwiesenthal hoteliers and companies initiated "Oberwiesenthal Snow Magic". 

For three hours, on the K4 hill, Peter Riedel GmbH competed for the Zinnowitz tourist administration’s trophy - including qualification and two scoring rounds. In addition to Jens Weissflog, who faced the 70 enthusiastic hobby ski jumpers, Uli Wehling was also a guest in Zinnowitz. The trophy was donated by the municipality of Zinnowitz and both the mayor and the spa director were there with heart and soul and full support.

"We had a great mood and excellent conditions created by the lift operators of Oberwiesenthal and the United Ski School Oberwiesenthal," says Chief Peter Riedel with enthusiasm. 

"The ski jumping was superbly supported by the hotels of Oberwiesenthal. With this event we put in focus that the Fichtelberg in Saxony has snow in winter and the ski area is always snow-sure. Even here in Zinnowitz our modern snow cannons shot 30 square meters of artificial snow. The spectators were, of course, thrilled by this refreshment!"
