SGP 2014: We say thank you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you - to everyone who supported me and my team in the preparation and execution of SGP 2014 here in Oberwiesenthal. It was a great event with new approaches and new benchmarks, which we set together! This was only possible with your support, the sponsors, the traders, the town, the Free State, the district, the hotels, the club members, the voluntary organizers, the fire brigades and every single tireless voluntary helper and supporter of the (winter) sport.

The SGP in Kurort Oberwiesenthal currently represents the only FIS competition here in the Erzgebirge and is enormously important for our region and, more globally, for our Free State of Saxony. Where others have multiple events, we only have this single top-tier event in Nordic combined at the Fichtelberg.

In particular with our Eric Frenzel and with the other athletes in general, we hope to leave memories of a great event. The FIS officials have praised the OK team highly and thus granted the green light toward SGP 2015.

Let us lay the foundations today to welcome top athletes from around the world again in summer 2015 and to host another premier event at the Fichtelberg.
Thanks again to everyone!
