K1 ramp
Seefeld World Cup visitors can try ski jumping themselves
From the 16th to the 18th
From January 16–18, 2015, the Nordic combined teams will stop in Seefeld. The World Cup in Seefeld, the Olympic region which will host the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2019, is regarded as the highlight of the annual World Cup calendar.
To let not only the athletes enjoy flying, the Saxon Peter Riedel GmbH will travel to Seefeld—with its mobile ski jumping ramp K4 in tow. Children and fans alike will have the chance to experience a smaller version of ski jumping and thus understand what it feels like to jump. Jumping together with athletes and VIPs—it will certainly become one of the most impressive memories after the World Cup.
“Our mobile ramp is a great way to involve spectators in the entire ski jumping process. The sport is simply better understood when you have tried it yourself. We have children from all over the world who enjoyed the jump so much that they later wanted to become ski jumpers,” says managing director Peter Riedel, whose company is a strong partner of the Austrian Ski Association ÖSV. Traveling to Seefeld was therefore also a matter close to his heart.
And who knows, perhaps a new star will be born while the already big stars like Olympic champion Eric Frenzel or Austrian favorite Mario Stecher jump on the big ramp.
