After what felt like an eternity the summer this year seemed to drag on, the Ski Jump and Nordic Combined World Cup is at the door! The stuff is packed and already mid‑week a two‑man team from Peter Riedel GmbH set off to the far north. The journey to the Finnish town on the Arctic Circle, only a few kilometers from the Russian border, proves to be adventurous. Hundreds of kilometers through Finnish forests with no civilization, at most a few reindeer that stand along the road, lending a romantic touch to the road trip.

This year Ruka presents itself in a way you normally don't see. Due to the warm weather, the long-awaited snowfall did not arrive; the usually snow-covered landscape shines green. Only the hill and the cross-country course, brought to competition-ready condition with oversized snow depots and artificial snow, bear witness to the Nordic kickoff. A special challenge for the organizer, who masterfully handled this task. The Master-Track start track received the final touch with the milling machine yesterday Thursday - everything is prepared for a perfect start!

For Peter Riedel GmbH it is the second support contract in Ruka, and even now the collaboration for the coming years is secured.

All that remains is to wish the organizer and the athletes all the best for the first events of the season. Peter Riedel and his team keep their fingers crossed for you all!
