Precision at Bergisel – Maintenance at the highest level
For more than a decade we have been active at Bergisel as Peter Riedel GmbH - and every return here is something special for us.
About ten years ago we were allowed to realize this Mastertrack starting track at this location. From the start, this assignment was more than just a project: it meant responsibility, which we met with the utmost care, technical know-how and genuine passion.
Now - after more or less 10 years - the right time has come to subject the track to a comprehensive service and maintenance phase. Even though a starting track can have a service life of up to 25 years, we know from experience how crucial regular inspections and thorough revisions are. Only in this way can we ensure that all system-relevant components function reliably and stay precisely coordinated. Especially in the ski jumping area, where even the smallest differences can have large effects, precision is decisive. Our aim is therefore to create identical and fair conditions for every jumper from the first to the last.
Our work involves much more than just maintenance. It is about precision, early detection of wear, and the continual further development of existing systems. Every screw, every guide and every surface is inspected, assessed and - if necessary - optimized by us. This continuous fine-tuning is an essential part of our philosophy and makes a significant contribution to the safety and performance of the facility. In the course of the current works, a new barrier in the runway was also installed - another step to sustainably improve the facility and make it future-proof.
A key factor in the quality and long-term success of any facility is also the operator. In this case, we would like to highlight Bergisel Managing Director Bernhard Niggler and his team. To us, he is among the most farsighted and professional hill operators there are. He recognized early how important continuous maintenance and regular major refurbishments are to permanently secure the highest standards. The collaboration is characterized by professionalism, trust, and a shared understanding of quality that is reflected in every detail of the facility.
In addition to the technical work, it is also the surroundings that make this place so special. The view over Innsbruck is impressive every time and further motivates us to achieve top performances here. Bergisel combines sporting history, modern infrastructure, and a unique backdrop - a combination we greatly value!
We are proud to contribute and grateful for the trust shown to us over the years.
