“It is always a pleasure to be able to demonstrate and explain to like-minded people and interested parties what my company does,” says Peter Riedel, “especially in a time when our products are undeniably world market leaders and almost all important ski-jump operators rely on our know-how.”

From this mindset, Riedel also gladly agreed to participate in the third prominent meeting of the association “Historische Skitruhe e.V.”

On Friday, April 20 (6 p.m., Mittelbar, Alte Auerbacher Str. 23, 08304 Schönheide in the Erzgebirge), the successful entrepreneur from Oberwiesenthal will present a TV documentary about his work on the hills at Bergisel in Innsbruck and the Holmenkollen in Oslo, under the title “Behind the Scenes of the Ski Jump.” “The video material is of top quality,” explains Riedel, “we really gave a lot of thought to this film and were pleased that parts of it also aired on public television.”

Further films and lectures about plastic mats, effectively the second creation of winter, and in which, using the jump boots of the Raß brand, we look back into the history of the ski jump run, will round off the evening in Schönheide. The organizers around Gottfried Fuchs (Tel.: 037755 55430) are hoping for active participation.
