The World Cup opener in Ruka was not only a successful start to the season for Peter Riedel GmbH, but also an important step in the further collaboration with the Austrian Ski Association. While the world's best ski jumpers and Nordic combined athletes in Finland jumped for the best distances on the newly laid launch track, Chef Peter Riedel and representatives of the ski association were already working on future projects in the Alpine country.
"Ruka was a very successful start to the season for us. The organizers, the FIS, and the athletes thanked us for the great track and for helping ensure smooth execution – such feedback was of course incredibly motivating for the whole team," says Peter Riedel. "But the most beautiful thing were certainly the pioneering conversations with the ÖSV. The entire team thinks incredibly progressive and innovative and has become for us a very important partner in the development of our solutions for sport as well as sports sciences."
As shown by the film broadcast before the season started by the Styrian Television, Austrians used both ski jumping and Nordic combined to intensely prepare for the season with the Speed Race 1.0 test facility initiated together with Peter Riedel GmbH in Ramsau. This collaboration in scientific support for the athletes should continue and even expand in the future.
