RASCHAU/TRONDHEIM – As soon as the Olympic Games are over, most winter sports disciplines are already in the final sprint. So it is also for the Ski Jump World Cup, which on March 6 and 7, 2014, stops in Trondheim.
To also provide optimal conditions for the ski jumpers at the end of the season — despite often springlike weather conditions — the Erzgebirge Peter Riedel GmbH will take over the maintenance of the hills for the World Cup in Trondheim at short notice.
For the athletes, this means a significant change compared to the Olympic Games in Sochi. The starting track is not only weather-resistant in rain due to the 7.5 centimeter-thick ice block, but also significantly faster thanks to its refined ice structure.
“Of course, we have great fun accompanying the World Cup in Trondheim. We support the principle of the International Ski Federation that from the first jumper to the last, everyone must have the same conditions. Weather problems such as rain or new snow are no obstacle for our start track,” explains Peter Riedel, head of Peter Riedel GmbH.
