Post text: Overview: About a week before the official FIS autumn meeting, the new runway at the Finnish winter sports center Ruka has been completed. In less than three weeks, the Peter Riedel GmbH team installed the track, so the new facility has been in testing for a week.

For FIS, the rapid completion is good news, as it is now already known that the Nordic Opening jump competitions in Kuusamo are secured. The new organizing committee in Ruka will briefly present the work at the FIS autumn meeting, since the World Cup opener is approaching quickly. Approximately 15,000 m³ of snow lie directly by the hill in storage, final work is still being done on the wind nets to meet all FIS requirements. Then the hill, equipped with the latest generation of Peter Riedel starting tracks, is jump-ready.

'For us it was a tough battle to reestablish ourselves in the Scandinavian market after our beginnings in Trondheim. I was surprised and pleased to land the contract in Ruka, even though another competitor was rumored for the FIS Congress in Cancun. But quality and innovation obviously prevail,' says Peter Riedel about the project.
