Two local companies from the Ore Mountains are joining forces! This coming winter it will be possible for the first time to travel to the Kulm in Austria for the Ski Flying World Cup with Lang-Reisen and Peter Riedel. This will especially delight ski jumping fans, because guests can expect an all-inclusive package with bus transfer, hotel, meals and admission. A exclusive highlight makes the trip to Austria really special: Peter Riedel will take guests behind the scenes of one of the world’s largest ski jumping hills on the day before the competition. Interesting insights into the world of ski jumping are guaranteed!
And it is no coincidence that Peter Riedel was also commissioned with repairs after an avalanche damage at the Kulm. Riedel knows the hills of the world like the back of his hand; at the Kulm he already installed the Master-Track launch track. Last week the repair work after the avalanche damage was completed. Glass and steel bands as well as parts of the steel construction were renewed and already approved by the FIS for operation. For a ski flying festival where you can experience the stars of the scene up close with Lang-Reisen and Peter Riedel, nothing stands in the way—in terms of construction—anymore!
Organizing a trip admittedly does not belong to Peter Riedel’s core competencies, which are usually in steel construction and ski jumping facility construction.
But it wouldn’t be Riedel if he didn’t readily tackle such new projects. After two film premieres, where the entrepreneur from Tellerhäuser filled a cinema with impressive footage of ski jumping hills last year, he again ventures into new terrain with this collaboration.
“The idea for this collaboration emerged last year. Rene Lang, the managing director of Lang Reisen, came to me after one of my film premieres. We both quickly agreed that it’s a great opportunity to offer people in the Ore Mountains region the experience of ski jumping up close at a reasonable price. Ski flying at the Kulm is perfect for this; it couldn’t be more spectacular. I’m glad we can now offer such a wonderful product together,” says Peter Riedel.
