Successful “Jump” - Premiere

Yesterday Tuesday the cinema premiere of “Jump - the most beautiful ski jumping hills in the world” took place at Ring Kino Schwarzenberg before a sold-out crowd. The numerous attendees saw beautiful footage of selected ski jumping hills, shown for the first time on a large-format screen in this way.

Initiator and organizer Peter Riedel was rightly overwhelmed by the response after the event: “We have broken completely new ground with the film project. We shot the material over the last few years on the hills where we laid our take-off traces. At some point the idea came to produce a feature film from it and present the images to a broader audience. I’m pleased and proud that the film was so well received and that so many people are interested in ski jumping,” says Peter Riedel.

In addition to Peter Riedel, other protagonists played a decisive role in the successful premiere. Including filmmaker Aris Bibudis, who is behind the footage. The native Chemnitzer is on assignments worldwide for various productions and is always on the hunt for the perfect shots. Through impressive camera work and cuts, he gives the film a very special touch.

The evening was rounded off by Michael Drevenstedt, who guided the evening in skilled fashion. Drevenstedt normally works for MDR as a sports presenter; this time he swapped the camera for the cinema stage. With his expertise, he gave the audience further interesting insights behind the scenes of the film project and the protagonists.

Other prominent guests from sports and politics included the Lord Mayor of Schwarzenberg, Ms. Heidrun Hiemer, the mayor of the Raschau-Markersbach municipality, Mr. Frank Tröger, the mayor of the town Scheibenberg, Mr. Michael Staib, as well as many other partners and clubs from the region.

Another screening of “Jump - the most beautiful ski jumping hills in the world” is planned for Tuesday, November 6, at Ring Kino in Schwarzenberg.
