HINZENBACH - This year's edition of the children's hill jumping tour hosted in Austria and Germany successfully came to an end last Saturday in Berchtesgaden. Earlier, the four-part series paused in Hinzenbach, Bischofshofen, and Reit im Winkl. For the young Nachwuchsspringer, the event has established itself as a fixed part of the summer calendar and has also become a staple for the organizers, as Tournee Coordinator Wolfgang Roithner from Hinzenbach explained during the Summer Grand Prix of ski jumpers.
“It is a great joy for us to host the Summer Grand Prix. Having the world's best ski jumpers here is something unique, and it is important for us to run this event at a professional, high level. But these jumpers all started small at some point, and thus we see the Kinder Vierschanzentournee as incredibly important for the development and promotion of junior ski jumping. The opening event in Hinzenbach has not only pleased the youngsters but the entire organizing committee as well. The Nachwuchs is incredibly motivated in such competitions, and this dedication to Nordic skiing must be fostered with every possible means.”
He also knows this kind of support—Peter Riedel, managing director of Peter Riedel GmbH—who has already pledged renewed support as the main sponsor for the coming year in Hinzenbach. “What the organizers have put together is commendable—and before the performance of the Nachwuchs jumpers one can only tip one's hat. Therefore, it is a matter of honor for me to continue supporting this event next year. For monetary support is essential for a tour like this. In Hinzenbach as well as in Berchtesgaden we have equipped the jumps with our tracks, so we are already working very well with the organizers. It is only right to make not only the jumps future-proof but also to support local events! Additionally, we are partners of the Austrian Ski Association—joining forces to do something for the kids is entirely natural for us.”
