There they are again, the days around the turn of the year when the entire ski jumping world looks excitedly to the Bavarian-Austrian Alps. The Four Hills Tournament is just around the corner, and the best ski jumpers in the world are battling for the coveted golden eagle! That this tournament will be no less exciting than the last one has already been impressively proven by Ryoyu Kobayashi, Karl Geiger, Stefan Kraft and co. at the opening today in Oberstdorf.

This year, the small amount of snow is the biggest challenge for the organizers. From our side we can say that everything is already prepared and the start-up tracks are in dry condition. Because of the cold temperatures, it is no problem to build and preserve the required amount of ice to provide athletes with ideal conditions. What reads so easily is, however, anything but simple; behind it lies a huge logistical challenge!

Already today, Sunday, Dirk and his team traveled to Garmisch to make the track jump-ready. They have exactly one day for this, because Monday morning they will already move on to Innsbruck for the pre-inspection – one doesn’t want to leave anything to chance. Returning to Garmisch is on the same day, since the qualification is already on the program the next day. After the competition on January 1, there is little time left for a hangover mood. Pack your bags and off to Bischofshofen is the motto – and again only one day to prepare everything for the big finale on 'the track'. It is precisely these challenges that we love, that set us apart from the competition and bring us to peak form!

Not for nothing does Peter Riedel GmbH start – admittedly a little proudly – into the thirteenth Vier Schanzentournee! Time to take a look back at the past twelve years…

Twelve years, in which we successfully installed our Mastertrack entry tracks at three of the four venues. Garmisch 2007 started the run, followed by Innsbruck 2016 and Bischofshofen 2017.

Twelve years without any problem or incident.

Twelve years perfect cooperation with the operators and organizing committees.

Twelve years, in which we built a great base of trust together.

Twelve years, in which we withstood almost any weather — whether snowfall, heavy rain, sun, above-freezing temperatures, or Arctic cold.

Twelve years, which we now celebrate again at the turn of the year in Garmisch with the ski jumping family (which is extremely fun, but on the other hand also a bit sad not to be able to celebrate the turn of the year in my homeland)

Twelve years, in which the local metal construction company from the Ore Mountains developed into an internationally active sports technology company.

Twelve years, for which we want to say THANKS to all our companions and sports friends!

Here’s to a successful tour and a smooth start into the new year 2020!
