Image film Sommer Grand Prix will be presented on Wednesday at Wiesenthaler K3

RASCHAU – A successful Sommer Grand Prix of Nordic combined is behind Oberwiesenthal and as always: pictures say more than a thousand words. Under the leadership of WSC Erzgebirge Oberwiesenthal and the town of Oberwiesenthal, an image film was created that presents Germany's highest town in a sporty, modern and exciting light based on the Sommer Grand Prix.

The video will officially be presented on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 6 p.m. at the Wiesenthaler K3 Museum. Invited are among others the hoteliers of Oberwiesenthal as well as the judges and volunteers of the Sommer Grand Prix.

"We want to give hoteliers and the city a tool to present Oberwiesenthal magnificently to the outside world. An event like the Sommer Grand Prix documents our region beyond Germany's borders. At the same time, we can already use this image film to promote the re-launch of the SGP next year and attract more tourists for this weekend," explains Deputy OK Chief Peter Riedel.

With the official event on Wednesday, the Oberwiesenthalers want to symbolize retrospectively that they are already ready for the next major event on the Fichtelberg. "The region stands behind it, and we want to prove that we can run the event with even higher quality. It is our only chance to bring Oberwiesenthal back into international focus, and we simply want to seize this opportunity with motivation," says Riedel.

Thus, the film’s premiere on Wednesday is not only the start of a new, modern tourism campaign but also the kickoff for another international guest appearance by ski stars.
