Grand Weekend ahead!

World Cup track maintenance for the women in Hinterzarten, track maintenance at Kulm for ski flying, and at the same time acting as tour guide for a 45-person tour group from the Ore Mountains—a monster program like this is only possible with a superb team!

Already on Sunday two employees of Peter Riedel GmbH travelled to Kulm to make the track ski-flight ready. After all, the last competitions there were already two years ago, so a small revival of the starting track is necessary. Whether it is renewing small components, swapping parts, or simply repairing the track. After we had two days for this, on Wednesday followed the final track milling.

Parallel to the spectacular ski flying event, we also carry out track service for the women's ski jumping World Cup in Hinterzarten. This logistical challenge is only possible with a top team that does not shy away from such challenges and is ready to give everything.

When today the first jumpers leave the Kulm hill, CEO Peter Riedel will be driving ahead with a 50-seat tour bus. For this weekend he will take on a completely different role—as a tour guide. “The idea originated in 2019; back then we already ran the first fan trip to Kulm together with Lang Reisen. It was a great success, and those who know me know I like being among people. I know Kulm like the back of my hand from my work, so the side job as a tour guide fits quite well.”

Such a program is the best warm-up and, if you like, a dress rehearsal for the Ski Flying World Championship next year at Kulm. However, now all attention must be on the events waiting for us this weekend. As always, we will do our best to provide the same starting conditions from the first to the last jumper. And to offer the guests of the fan trip at Kulm an unforgettable experience. We look forward to it!
