RASCHAU, November 2, 2012 – The chances of Peter Riedel GmbH winning the bid for the complete renovation of the Fichtelberg ski jump in Oberwiesenthal have continued to rise. “What Peter Riedel and his team showed and explained to us today looked very, very good,” said none other than the Oberwiesenthal mayor Mirko Ernst. Together with several city councilors and representatives of the Olympic base, he attended the nearly three-hour presentation, which covered takeoff line, studded paver, data service and much more.
Company owner Peter Riedel was pleased by the interest in the product range and his company’s explanations, remains positively optimistic yet cautious. “Of course, a final decision has not been made yet. The city council will decide in early December. We know that our overall package is in good shape and we are pleased today to have answered more questions to the satisfaction of those present.”
The ski jump in Oberwiesenthal – in the homeland of Peter Riedel – is for one of the world’s most prominent companies in ski jumping structure construction more than just an important contract. “The Fichtelberg ski jump carries a lot of emotion,” admits Peter Riedel. “It is a matter close to my heart. And this makes this project even more important than it already is!”
