Almost three years ago a patent dispute between Peter Riedel UG and Skisport- und Veranstaltungs -GmbH Oberstdorf was sparked by the HS60 slope in Oberstdorf. At the time the court determined that the HS60 approach in Oberstdorf infringed a patent of Peter Riedel UG. Subsequently, Peter Riedel and Oberstdorf agreed that the future use of the approach would be released for a one-time payment to Peter Riedel GmbH. Peter Riedel wanted to reinvest all the money back into sport, and the redevelopment of the K30 in Reit im Winkl was the ideal project for that. The entire production costs were borne by Peter Riedel and his team, and the ramp was installed in early June by WSV Reit im Winkl itself.
‘It was important to me that the money we received from winning the patent dispute goes back to Germany and into sport. The ramp renewal in Reit im Winkl offered itself as an ideal project for that. Furthermore, we also support Nachwuchs in Germany, which is personally very important to me,’ says company boss and CEO Peter Riedel.
The project lead in Reit im Winkl, Falk Göpfert, gushes about the Club-Track System: ‘I am delighted by how easy it is to assemble the Club-Track system ourselves. Peter and his team supplied us with the ramp parts and we built the ramp using his video guide, by ourselves. The project ran smoothly and is self-explanatory and has been in operation for two weeks. The first feedback from the clubs is consistently positive; they are all glad to be able to train on a new solid ramp.’
