RASCHAU/OBERWIESENTHAL, December 12, 2012 – Negotiations and discussions went on for months, with the tide repeatedly turning for and against the Raschau-based Peter Riedel GmbH. But since last night, December 11, it is official. In the matter of restructuring the Oberwiesenthal Fichtelberg ski jump – one of Germany's most traditional facilities – the responsible municipal council decided to award the contract for a new launch track to the Peter Riedel company.
Peter Riedel himself could not attend the decisive meeting in person because he was travelling on business in Austria. 'We know we are among the world's leading companies in launch-track systems and manufacturing. We wanted to support competitive sports in the Ore Mountains with our tightly calculated offer. So we could count on legitimate chances for the contract,' said Riedel. 'But now it is official, and as a native of Oberwiesenthal I am thrilled. This contract means so much to me personally – a dream comes true, I may take care of my heart's concern!','t19':'The Fichtelberg ski jump is the highest-altitude ski jump in Germany and has in the past hosted World Cup events in ski jumping and Nordic combined. 'The municipality of Oberwiesenthal has my word that I will take care of this facility with the same professional manner as all other facilities. And that the emotionality that can only be awakened by 'home hills' will be our constant driving force,' explains Riedel.

Preparations will begin right at the start of the new year 2013; the new REHAU/Ski-Line/Peter Riedel track is to be installed in summer 2013.
