FIS inspection of the large Fichtelberg ski jump K95 in Oberwiesenthal
Raschau/Oberwiesenthal 08. 08.
Raschau/Oberwiesenthal 08.08.2014 - A year has passed since the large Fichtelberg ski jump in the spa town of Oberwiesenthal was inspected by the FIS. Unfortunately, at that time the jump was not yet completed and only a provisional certificate was issued.
This year should be different. For this purpose, the FIS inspection was carried out with the support of Kurt Rehahn, chairman of the WSC, and Peter Riedel, managing director of Peter Riedel GmbH. Josef Slavik from neighboring Czechia came as a representative of the jump construction commission.
“The FIS inspection went without major findings and I believe all involved can be satisfied with what has been achieved with the Fichtelberg jump project. Now it is about filling one of the world’s most modern jumps with life and ensuring that the jump remains at this level and in this condition!” said Peter Riedel after the inspection. The first highlight on the completed Fichtelberg jumps will be the FIS Summer Grand-Prix from August 22–24, 2014.
