Even though times are currently anything but easy politically and economically worldwide, there is positive news from the ski jumping front. Peter Riedel GmbH wins the tender for the renovation of the Rothaus-Schanze in Hinterzarten! The Rothaus-Schanze is the largest of four hills in the 'Eagle Ski Stadium', which serves as an Olympic training base for ski jumpers and Nordic combined athletes in the Black Forest. Hinterzarten is also internationally well known as the venue for the FIS Summer Grand Prix in ski jumping.

The last project that Spurbauer Riedel implemented in Germany was several years ago. To be precise, seven years ago, when Peter Riedel and his team equipped the Normal Hill in Oberwiesenthal with a Mastertrack approach track in 2013. The next project in his ‘home’ Germany is a very special one for Riedel. 'I first presented my double-track module in Hinterzarten in 2005 during the German Championships. That I now, almost 15 years and many track approaches later, may equip the hill there is already very special for me; it closes the circle. The tender for the project was not easy and heavily shaped by lobbying by another provider. But the awarding procedure in Germany is, thank God, transparent and fair and I was finally able to win the tender. It is an honor for me that we as a German manufacturer are active again in Germany after seven years; I am terribly looking forward to the project and its implementation this autumn,' says the managing director Peter Riedel the Erzgebirgler

The long winter sports tradition of the two regions is also connected - or rather - especially in times of Corona!
