Invitation to the Saxon Sports Gala

Yesterday Saturday the Saxon Sports Gala 2020 took place at the Congress Center in Dresden. The who’s who of Saxon sports and politics gathered, and for the first time I also had the time and opportunity to attend the gala. Besides the very entertaining evening, I met many new people and had interesting conversations. Among others I spoke with Saxon Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer and former cyclist and current member of the Bundestag Jens Lehmann about winter sports. At such events you realize how much sport truly brings people together!

I am especially pleased that Eric Frenzel was honored for his achievements at the 2019 World Championships in Seefeld and named Saxon Athlete of the Year! A World Championship that will also remain very positively in our company’s memory, as we were responsible for the track service of the large hill events at Bergisel. The title ‘Coach of the Year’ went to Frenzel’s national training center coach Frank Erlbeck. Nice to see that Nordic sport has such a high standing in Saxony!
