One last 'Ski Heil' from ASC Oberwiesenthal for my father
After my father Eberhard was laid to rest about a month ago in a close family circle, his longtime companions and friends from alpine skiing also had the opportunity to say goodbye to him last weekend in Oberwiesenthal.
It was a moving and especially beautiful gesture, especially when you know the meaning alpine skiing held for Eberhard and the formative contribution he made to its development in Oberwiesenthal. As a co-founder of the alpine skiing movement in Oberwiesenthal, he helped pave the way with passion, energy and tireless commitment and shaped a generation of skiers.
His closest ASC friends bid farewell with a final 'Ski Heil' to a person who accompanied and shaped alpine skiing in our homeland for decades with heart and soul.
His enthusiasm and love for alpine skiing will continue in Oberwiesenthal – carried by the people who walked this path with him and carry on his legacy – his alpine ski friends from Oberwiesenthal.
