RASCHAU/OBERWIESENTHAL – While other ski jumping organizers have long given up on winter, the Oberwiesenthalers face one more strenuous effort with the final of the DSV Youth Cup from 14 to 16 March.

Thus, the WSC Erzgebirge Oberwiesenthal e.V. makes perfect use of the newly renovated hill facility. Because unlike other venues, since the renovation last year the Oberwiesenthalers have a weather-independent run-out track from Peter Riedel GmbH from Raschau in the Erzgebirge available.

“I am very happy that the hill in Oberwiesenthal has such high utilization and can host an event so important for the Nachwuchs (youth) like the final of the Youth Cup,” said Peter Riedel, head of Peter Riedel GmbH. “It is not only an award for the club but for the entire region that the final can also take place here in March. Oberwiesenthal is the highest-altitude and snow-secure training and competition facility of the DSV, and with the hill renovation the organizers have set a benchmark for the future use of the facility.”

Not only Riedel is looking forward to the upcoming final. Also the competition officer of the DSV, Sepp Kleisl, was pleased ahead of the competitions that Oberwiesenthal offers the final on its newly renovated hill.
