We actually wanted to start the new year a bit more calmly. After a few fine days at home with the family, off to our almost traditional first assignment of the new year—the New Year’s Jump in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. There, with friends, companions and business partners, to toast to a successful new year and implement the World Cup support of the ramp track. That’s the theory.

The reality this year, unfortunately, looks completely different. Nothing has turned out to be a quiet period. The order books remain full, employee trainings are due, and above all the steel construction division keeps us on our toes.

At first it looked as if not only our holidays would fall victim, but also the New Year’s Jump to the ongoing business. Thanks to our loyal employees who aren’t too proud to put in overtime when it’s needed, we were able to save the latter, thank God. Even if not with full staffing, at least one employee will be at Partenkirchen on-site assisting the ramp team.

The rest of my crew and I keep our fingers crossed from afar. Even if it feels really strange and perhaps a little sad not to be there in person for the New Year’s Classic after so long.

With that in mind, we wish you and the entire ski jump family a good slide into the new year, much success and above all health! May we continue to experience many exciting competitions and may the fun, the passion and the joy in what we do never run out!
