Let's go on tour!
Overview text: In keeping with the tour mid-point, as the entourage relocates to Austria, we too join the tour activity! The Austrian Ski Association asked us for support with the competition service in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen - and nothing would please us more than to answer the call from Austria gladly! Even though there were again some hurdles - entry into Austria, multiple PCR tests, etc. - to overcome.
We already used today’s rest day to subject the Spur at Bergisel to an extensive track check. A really brilliant preparatory job has been done there! For tomorrow’s qualification we only need to do a few fine adjustments, otherwise everything is prepared!
We assume that the Spur in Bischofshofen is in similarly good condition. The entire hill crew there is newly formed with lots of young and motivated people. Despite the still limited experience, you can sense that they want to do everything perfectly and leave nothing to chance. “We are very motivated to support the new hill team with our expertise,” says Peter Riedel looking forward to the Pongau assignment.
Also because in Bischofshofen there is not just one jump as part of the Tour, but immediately a World Cup double event will be held there. A major combat program so to speak! The weather god also seems to be on our side, next week should have almost no precipitation with temperatures in the slight positive range. There is not much more for us to say except that we are incredibly happy that it is finally starting for us too!
We wish you a Happy New Year, good health and exciting competitions!
