15 Years of Peter Riedel – 100 Hills!

With the start of the new year it was time for us to look back. To look back on an extremely positive business year on the one hand.

With the start of the new year it was time for us to look back. To look back on an extremely positive business year on the one hand. Rarely have we moved so much in the ski jumping world—also when everything stood still at times. On the other hand—and we look even further into the past—on truly crazy 15 years! And that is not the only anniversary we are celebrating. Recently we signed the contract for our hundredth hill jump!

In 15 years, during which we have grown from a small assembly company into a highly qualified steel and metal construction company and further into a sports technology company, we have operated worldwide. Starting in Norway, then Germany, Austria, France, and Poland, on to Japan, Russia, and back to Europe. For us, the circle now closes. Beginning with our first assignment in Norway—that was 2007 in Trondheim—and ending in 2021 with the 100th hill, again in Norway. This time in Kongsberg, where we were allowed to deliver five launch tracks just before Christmas.

When you look into the eyes of the company owner Peter Riedel as he mentally takes a time journey, you can see a little wistfulness, but above all a lot of pride:

If I look back on the last 15 years, it has been a really cool time. Starting as a small “One Man Show,” we have developed into a medium-sized metal construction company and further into a specialty construction GmbH. Our launch tracks—in the beginning still under the brand “Ski-Line” and for more than 5 years under the brands “Mastertrack” and “Clubtrack”—are now recognized worldwide and highly valued in ski jumping circles.

As a highly qualified steel and metal construction company as well as a specialist for winches and pull devices, we have now made a name for ourselves nationally and internationally.

This would never have been possible without qualified employees and partners who can always be relied upon. A huge thank you goes to them today. Furthermore, I would like to express sincere thanks to all friends, acquaintances, supporters, and business partners. Also to those who helped me get on my feet in 2007—initially with a crazy idea, but not with a off-the-shelf product. Exactly this idea and the ‘out of the box’ thinking were and are the foundation for 15 years of Peter Riedel and 100 hills.

Also THANK YOU to all ski associations, ski clubs, and hill operators who value our products! Only through this constructive cooperation is it possible to continuously develop the products in the interests of winter sports.

But there is no time to rest; with the Nordic World Ski Championship 2025 in Trondheim, the next mega project is already in the starting blocks. There we will not only deliver our launch tracks but are responsible for the entire steel construction of the new hill complex. Also, after Zella-Mehlis, another track will be delivered by February 2022. For us, the first hill in Thuringia!

You can see, even after the hundredth hill, we are far from boring :-)

Yours, Peter Riedel
